MY LIFE IS A TORNADO*

Well well well....I know I have waited forever between posts, but my life has simply or complexly been insane! Paul and I have moved into the condo we purchased, and we have done some major renovations. This picture in the post is the view from when you first walk in the door. This is what out home looked like when we made the offer and bought it in February. So far the place is amazing!!! We have 1328 sq. ft. It is a one bedroom/one bath with a loft/2nd bedroom that we are using for a guest room and office area. The kitchen and dining room were separated, however, Paul (and me a little) took sledge hammers and saws to the wall closing up our kitchen. We have also widened the doorway from the dining room to the kitchen, gutted the bathroom, only leaving the shower-stall the same (but Paul refinished it himself!!!) We have replaced all of the flooring and put in so much electrical it is ridiculous. Paul straight up put in the new toilet, vanity, made a built-in for the bathroom, replaced a window, cut up the laminate flooring, cut and installed the baseboards and is in the process of making a bench for the office area. We also added a door to the bedroom upstairs as well as moving our bedroom door back 3 feet in order to have privacy so our guests don't have to go through our bedroom to get to the bathroom. This place looks nothing like it did when we purchased it and it has been absolutely nutz!!!!!!!!!! All of this work was planned and planned and finally executed more than once cause we had no clue as to what we were doing! So this wall you see here and the cabinets are not here anymore......thanks to the hard work of my man. Life is so crazy, not only did we do all of the renovations, plus moving, plus school which I got b's or a's on all of my midterms!!!! WOO HOO*** We both had work, his parents were here for a week and we have to do everything twice. It is frustrating, but I could not be happier to share these experiences with a better person. He is the love of my life and the man that makes everything better....maybe not at first but definitely in the long run. lol!! For our 1 year anniversary, Paul got the keys to our new condo without telling me. Our anniversary was on Valentines Day. So we spent the day preparing. He brought a whole bunch of stuff over to the condo, pots and pans and flowers, food a table and chairs and a bottle of wine. He picked me up and did not tell me where we were going. We got there and he told me that our loan funded and we officially got the place. (What an amazing anniversary gift)!!!!! We looked around and figured out what we wanted to do with the place. Got excited, made dinner, cleaned up, went to Home Depot and had the best day of my life. I got to celebrate my one year anniversary with my love in the home we will share for many years to come. I could not be more blessed. I have so little time left within school and the work is picking up. I have a few weddings that I am going to do soon, one in may and one in November and clients are referring people like nobody's business. I could not be more happy with the way that things are going in my life and I know that whenever there is struggle and strife that you are being pushed for things in your life that are to come. I know my life is still so open, I just hope that it continues in this light as well as continuing to flourish. I miss all of my family and friends and feel as though I have not seen you all in so long but when ou home is finally finished we will have a huge housewarming and hope that you can all come and visit!! If not, then next time...I'll post the updated pictures!!!! Miss you and love you all. Until next time...

BOMB THREATS AND SUPER BOWLS

Well well well....another day another stress! I had a great week. Minus the bomb threat at Cal State Northridge (Thankfully, I was at work!) Apparently someone stated there was a bomb on CSUN's campus in one of the parking structures. They closed and evacuated campus for a day and that was that. That kinda freaked me out a little bit. I mean we hear of violence within schools and think how horrible, but when it actually happens to your school, it really hits home. I seriously did not want to come to school today. I would totally rather work!!!! And speaking of work, I think that I had the longest week ever, i was actually quite busy at work. Had a couple of mishaps, but who wouldn't after getting up at 4:45 and going to school and then working a full day. That, I thought would drop me flat, but I am a Berman RIGHT* So I sucked it up, pulled through and made it work!!!! (Thanks Tim Gunn).
In lighter news.....I was qualified for the final round of consideration at Cal State Long Beach, so i hopefully won't have to get up at 4:45 on Mondays and
Wednesdays. I should only have 2 more semesters after th
is cur
rent one and that thought gets me through many many days! I love life and what I do, but, I am so ready to be finished with school! I am being worked to the bone and can't wait to get my degree. I have been working on weddings and my usual clients and friends and family. I am trying to get into doing bridal hair and events of the sort. I love the flurry of goings on and the rush to beautify and the final result just takes my breath away!

This is Megan and her husband Mark from their Wedding on the Queen Mary January 9, 2010!

I was able to do the entire Bridal party, the Bride and both the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom. It was such a beautiful day and a beautiful event! I hope that I am able to do more events of the like! SO MUCH FUN*****

And Speaking of hilariousness, did anyone see the DORITOS super bowl commercials? Seriously, the others could not keep up, doritos knocked it out of the park! And GO SAINTS!!!! Way to spank the Colts.......And after being down in the first quarter!!!! WAY 2 GO*** I could not have picked a better game for the super bowl, seeing as I love both teams but thankfully my saints took the title! So Shockey, Brees and Bush You boys kicked some serious bootay*** THANK YOU***** I could not be happier! And speaking of happy.............6 dayz until our 1 year anniversary.....who would have thought that after a year I would still have my honey! Well well well.....I can only imagine what the year hold after what 2009 has already brought us! I hope this year ushers in much new and exciting events whose memories last for many years to come! I love you all and miss you like crazy! Talk to you all soon!!!!!!!!!

The Beginning till now!

Well I am new to this whole blogging thing but I wanted to keep in touch with those I love and we all know how horrible at that I am. So here goes my attempt!!! Well to give you the update, I probably should give you some back info!
Well in December of 2008 I took my finals, packed up my bag and flew across the world to the middle east and the holy land of Israel!!! In many respects it was a way to find myself and what it is in life that I needed and wanted form life! I was never forced into religion and I thought that the holiest place on earth may help me out! While I was there, I was moved beyond words. I could literally feel the work and emotion of the land. I traveled with my group to Jerusalem and Tel Aviv we stayed in Bedouin tents and on kibbutz's. I floated in the Dead Sea, Hiked Massada and went off roading in 4 wheelers!
While I was in a land of magic, spirituality, and holiness, a particular gentleman caught my interest! He was gorgeous, arrogant and completely fascinating! It wasn't until we arrived back in Los Angeles and 2009 arrived that I knew I found the man of my dreams! We hung out for the first time a few days after the new year and have been together ever since! Our anniversary is Valentines day (Like Aunt Janie and Mike**) and we will celebrate our 1 year anniversary in 11 days!!!!!
So just a little tid-bit about Paul. Well, he is the District sales manager for Lexmark and handles all those nifty little electronic things that I am so oblivious about! Lord knows how I manage to even turn on my computer!!! LOL* He and I are trying to purchase a condo here in Long Beach, Ca. He is originally form Modesto, Ca (Near Sacramento) and he speaks fluent Russian. MY LIL RUSKE*** and he graduated from UC Santa Barbara. There are his specs for all the family waiting for the details!!! (lol)....Now vainly back to me! I am working full time at a Hair salon called A Cut Above in Belmont Shore (Long Beach) and I am attending California State University Northridge vying for my Bachelors degree in English with a focus on creative writing! So i have the 40 hours per week plus the 15 units or 5 classes at school, dealing with escrow and trying to have a life! It is so strange to think that I am leading a real adult life and I get to share that with someone who I am fortunate to wake next to every morning! I am building my clientele at work and reading more and more for school than I ever thought possible!
On to more of the family information.....My sister Brittany is studying abroad in London and her lack of presence is creating a fisher that is widening from pressure every day! She is such a wonderful woman, person and friend whom I could not be more thankful than to call her sister! Courtney is working her tush off and creating a name for herself in the big bad world and mom and dad are actually starting (hopefully :0)~) to enjoy the bliss of only having 1 child at home! Dad has his toys (the boat, both harleys, the truck and his sports car....plus having a wife a gorgeous as Georgene who wouldn't think they had the life?) Dad's business is doing much better and my relationship with my parents is improving every day! I miss my family and friends who I do not see regularly and think of you all often! I hope you all are doing well and only good things are happening in your life! Love you all!!!
